Annual Report—Recorder; 2018
Membership at Third Haven showed a net increase of one member for the year 2017. While we lost three members by death, we gained three members by application and one by transfer.
In June we lost our oldest and beloved member, Frank Zeigler. Frank became a member of Third Haven in 1956. He was a long time advocate for the Friends Committee on National Legislation and the American Friends Service Committee, as well as for the Friends Journal and our Meeting's Library in general. Forever urging us to check out new books or read recent articles, he was a conscience to us all.
In December we learned of the death of another long time member, Lucinda Sharp Gates. Lucinda had lived in Ohio for many years, but had grown up in our Meeting, the daughter of former members active, Bob and Linda Sharp.
Tragically, we also lost Charles Jae Jung Mufson. Born in Seoul, Korea, Charlie was the son of members Beth and Neil Mufson. He died in Vermont on December 17th.
Our recent additions of members include transfer of Harvey Zendt and new members Connie Crow, Bob and Delores Wack who joined us formally last February, and most recently, Marie Leonard. All of these Friends are taking an active part in the Meeting.
Current membership: 162
