ANNUAL REPORT OF THE HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE
THIRD HAVEN FRIENDS MEETING THIRD MONTH 2010

Hospitality Committee sincerely thanks all friends who have provided both food and generous effort on First Days and for special occasions. Some memorable dates were: The May 17th, Third Haven's 325th Anniversary Potluck, the June 7th Potluck Picnic for Moving Up Day (our Middle Schoolers moving on to other schools); the October 4th Potluck, and the December 20th Potluck hosted by the First Day School Committee.

It was noticed by our committee that fewer people signed up for hospitality this past year, so in order to encourage F(f)riends, we will make a verbal and written announcement at the beginning of each month to remind committees of their turn to be hosts. We suggest that committees choose one First Day of their assigned month to host hospitality together as a team, if that is workable. That can be very simple and lots of fun.

As we have often pointed out, the food offerings can be store bought and very simple—such as fruits, cheese, crackers, and cookies. It is not a requirement to have homemade foods.

A list of committee assignments is posted on the refrigerator in the Common Room for reference. There is also a list on the refrigerator of Hospitality Committee members assigned on a monthly basis, to ensure that coffee is available. And, as always, we encourage families and individuals to continue to sign up, too.

The Hospitality Committee is delighted to have the following members join in our efforts: Pete Howell, Emma Leibman, Beth Mufson, Sam Mullen, Heidi Wetzel, Ann Womack, and Ralph Young.

We have managed to stay within our annual budget of $400 and project similar activities, as well as a similar budget, for the next year.

We encourage ALL members and attenders to participate in this wonderful program at Third Haven.

Reach out! It is a delight to work with one another.
